Challenges Not Tracking Progress
If your challenge progress isn't being saved or challenges aren't unlocking, follow these troubleshooting steps.
Common Issues
- •Challenge completion not saving to database
- •Next challenge not unlocking after completion
- •Progress showing as incomplete when it should be done
- •Challenges page showing mock data instead of real progress
Solutions
1. Ensure You're Signed In
Challenge progress is only saved when you're logged in. Make sure you're signed in before starting a challenge.
- • Check the top-right corner for your username/avatar
- • If not signed in, click "Sign In" and log in with your account
- • Create an account if you don't have one yet
2. Complete All Rounds
Challenges require completing all rounds. Make sure you finish every round before the challenge is marked as complete.
- • Check the progress indicator showing "Round X of Y"
- • Complete all rounds until you see the results page
- • Wait for the "Challenge results saved successfully" message
3. Wait for Submission
After completing a challenge, wait for the results to be submitted. You should see a "Saving your results..." message.
- • Don't navigate away immediately after completing
- • Wait for the success message before leaving the results page
- • Check for any error messages in the console (F12)
4. Refresh the Challenges Page
If progress isn't showing, try refreshing the challenges page to load the latest data.
- • Click the "Refresh" button on the challenges page
- • Or manually refresh the browser page (F5 or Cmd+R)
- • The page should automatically refresh when you return to it
5. Check Browser Console
Open the browser console (F12) to see if there are any errors preventing progress from saving.
- • Look for "Challenge submit response" messages
- • Check for "Created new session" or "Updated existing session" logs
- • Report any error messages to support if issues persist
